Nadur Monj/ Nadru ke pakode/ Lotus stem Fritters

 



Lotus stem is an edible part of plant, fritters (Pakode) prepared from them are very delightful in taste. These tastes best when enjoyed with chutney/ tea/ kehwa (kashmiri tea )

INGREDIENTS:

1. Lotus stem                            250 g

2. Rice flour                              1/2 cup

3. Carom seeds                         1/2 tsp

4. salt                                          as per taste

5. Red chilly powder                  1/2 tsp

6. Black salt                                1/4tsp

7. Oil                                           for frying

RECIPE:

1.Cut and wash lotus stem into thin and long pieces.

2. Add salt, rice flour, red chilly powder and carrom seeds and mix well

3. Add water slowly to bind the flour with lotus stem pieces

4.Deep fry the fritters till crisp.

Lotus stem fritters are ready to serve.
