kashmiri fried mooli ki chutney/Talith Mujj Chettin

Radish when cooked with walnuts gives  a very relishing taste. Fried radish and walnuts is a very old traditional kashmiri recipe. Its crunchy texture and taste gives a very sumptuous feeling

INGREDIENTS:
1. Radish Red        1kg or radish white        1.5 kg
2. Red chilly whole                                       5-6 no
3. oil                                                              6-7 tbsp
4  salt                                                             as per taste
5. red chilly powder                                      2 tsp
6 walnuts                                                       8-9 no

RECIPE:
1. Grind red chilly whole into thick flakes and radish too.[ A food processor or a grater can be used but traditionally this recipe is prepared using a mortar-pestle]
2. Heat oil in a pan and a crushed chilly flakes and walnuts.
3. Roast for at least one min.
4 Add ground radish, salt and red chilly powder. Keep stirring over high flame till oil separates.
5 simmer the flame and cook for 2 more min

Talith Mujj chettin is ready to serve
