Balushahi recipe, Balushahi mithai, Balushahi aasan tareeka

Balushahi is a very easy and simple sweet dish but highly delightful in taste

INGREDIENTS:

For Sugar Syrup

1. Sugar    2 cups
2. Water    1 cup

3. Cardamom powder   1/4 tsp

4. Food colour ( orange)    1 pinch

5. Lemon Juice   1/2 tsp

For Dough

 1. All purpose flour( Maida)  2 cups

2. Water   1/2 cup

3. ghee     1/2 cup

4. salt       1 pinch

5. bakling powder  1/2 tsp

Oil for frying

METHOD:

1. Prepare sugar syrup by mixing sugar 2 cups, water 1 cup, cardamom powder , food colour and lemon juice and. Let it boil for 2-3 mins.

2. Mix all purpose flour 2 cups, water 1/2 cup , ghee 1/2 cup, salt 1pinch and baking powder. Prepare a soft mixture by breaking and joining the dough [DO NOT KNEAD]

3.Spread the dough then cut and fold 5=6 times to give layers to it. Then cut it into small balls

4 Smoothen the dough ball and press in centre to make a hole

5. Fry these dough balls at low flame, do not flip till these become crisp 

6. Fry for 5-6 min till it become crisp 

7. Put directly into sugar syrup and keep dipped for 1 min 

Store in a refrigerator and enjoy
