Kashmiri Style Mujj Gaad is a very famous and authentic kashmiri recipe often prepared in winters in almost every household. In this recipe fish is cooked with radish and spices and tastes very aromatic and flavourful

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

1. Fish cut into small pieces                    1 Kg

2. Radish                                                  1kg

3. Turmeric powder                                  1/2 tsp for marination and 1/ 2 tsp for cooking

4. Oil                                                         250 ml

5. Cloves                                                    2-3 no

6. Bay leaves                                              2-3 no

7. Red chilly whole                                    2=3 no

8. Thick cardamom                                    2 no

9. Ginger grated                                          1 tsp

10. Fennel seeds powder                             2 tbsp

11 Red chilly powder                                   2 tbsp

12 cumin seeds powder                                1/2 tsp

13. Cardamom powder                                 1/4 tsp

14. salt                                                           as per taste

15. sun dried tomatoes/ tamarind paste/lemon juice      3-4 tbsp

16.carrom seeds                                                 1 tsp


RECIPE:

1. Clean and cut the fish into small pieces. Cut Radish into thick pieces

2.. Marinate fish with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and fry it till crisp and golden brown.

3. Add oil into a pressure cooker and add 2-3 cloves, 2-3 bay leaves, 2-3 red chilly whole, 2 thick cardamon, 1 tsp ginger grated, 2 tbsp red chilly powder, 2 tbsp fennel seeds powder, 1. 2 tsp cumin seeds powder, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, salt and fried fishes. 

4 Add 2 glasses of water and let it boil. Now pressure cook over high flame till 4 whistles and remove the steam. Do not trap the steam   

5. 'Now add radish and cook for 5 more min. Add sun dried tomatoes and roasted carrom seeds and cook for 2 min

6. Let it cool amd carefully take out in a serving bowl

 Mujj gaad is ready to serve
